I went to a few yoga classes and I feel comfortable and at peace after the end of my yoga classes. There is a natural realignment in my body that can lead to a natural balance of mind and spirit.

Limit your intake of junk food and other foods high in sugar and fat. It is much better to have fresh fruits and vegetables and grains when you are doing yoga. Yoga is also good for women who are pregnant.

Alternate nostril breathing is a very common yogic practice in yogic curriculum. EEG studies of electrical impulses that the brain shows breathing through one nostril can lead to an increase in activity on the other side of the brain. Alternate nostril breathing can improve communication between the left and right parts of the brain.
